Objectives and Methods: We experienced two patients with pain and restriction of shoulder ROM caused by subscapular muscle lesion. Subscapular muscle can cause shoulder pain both at rest and on motion. Several reports pointed out that nerve blocking on this leision can improve shoulder pain and limit of ROM. In this paper, we used acupuncture stimulation on subscapular muscle, which improved restriction of shoulder joint.
Results and Conclusion: These two cases showed marked effect on pain and ROM limit of shoulder joint. More studies should be done about the treatment for the subscapular muscle lesion.
